Justin Timberlake is not just for teenage girls
So I am going to put it out there in the blogsphere that I, a heterosexual man of sound mind and body, went to a Justin Timberlake concert this week and I liked it.
So this is my case for Justin Timberlake to the rest of the world ...
Say what you want about who he aims his music at, all in all it is pretty well written, always well produced (for a pop artist you can't really knock on The Neptunes or Timbaland as producers) and JT has a good voice, given all that I have a hard time hating on him. Sometimes I have an issue with some of the stuff, sometimes it seems he is trying to be something he's not. Which is polite for saying I don't know why he tries to be too "Gangsta" (reference on the Future Sex/Love songs album the song: "Chop Me Up"). Its pretty evident in everything he has done post N'Sync that there is a strong hip-hop influence in his music, but I have family that grew up in the same area he did ... there is no way he hung out with people like the 3-6 Mafia. So I don't know why he has to include that.
I could go into my whole little back story about being able to identify with him and his Brittney situation, and thats why I identify with all his break up songs. Plus I'm not going to lie if I had his stage to make my ex girlfriend look like a jerk, you best believe I would do it. Plus this is just good business sense, it's been how many years since they broke up and he says one thing about a girl cheating on him and a whole army of people run to throw on their team Justin shirts and buy his CD ... really it's brilliant. So I give him props for that.
So really to sum up, I like JT as an artist. I like his music so I wish I didn't feel the need to write the first two paragraphs of this, but sadly I did.
But the high lights of the show for me was:

But the high lights of the show for me was:
- said the words "I hate (University of) Florida too"
- He played "Gone" from his N'Sync days (playing the guitar himself) and the sorority girl sitting behind me (who spilled beer on me and my girlfriend the entire night) said I don't know this song.
- Brought out Timbaland who did a throughly weird intermission show.
- Good mix of songs not only his, but he played some N' Sync stuff (see above) and mixed in some Commodores (I'm easy).
- Never got off key, even with all the dancing and performance.
- good stage show and stage set up.
- good choice of back up dancers, good mix of eye candy and talent.
- I'm sure there are more, I just don't remember right now.
