Apple ... I love to hate them

So I have a love/hate thing going on with Apple. I love my iPod (and the three other ones we have around the house), but I hate the way Apple goes about their business. They make good products but then put out a crappy Windows version and go well if you just would buy an overpriced Mac they would work beautifully. iTunes is my prime example of this, iTunes for windows is a good idea but is buggy and hard to work with. It just seems like they went out of their way to make it hard to configure (I guess that's not just the windows version). As a computer programmer it has always rubbed me the wrong way.

But anyway, the real reason for this post. Apple released a version of their web browser, Safari, for windows. I downloaded it because the Apple download tool wouldn't leave me alone about it. So I gave it a shot thinking it would be good to hate on. But funny enough, I can't hate it. It is undeniably faster at loading webpages. My guess is that they had to refine the process for putting it on the iPod touch and iPhone and they just got it to the point where it is just super fast. I like that the display is refined for flat panels and it looks different in a good way. What I don't like, much like iTunes, it is not customizable. You can choose your homepage and what search engine you want to use and that is about it.

If anyone else is using it let me know your opinions.

p.s. I wrote this using Safari to further test my feelings on it.
