No country for mediocore movies

I finally got around to watching No Country for Old Men. Net Flix finally was able to send me a movie that was made this decade, so I brought it with me on my trip. I'm not going to lie I was hoping for more. It just left me feeling empty on the inside. This might be a good time to tell both of you if you don't want to know about the plot of the movie you might want to stop reading .... right .... now.

I've had a couple days to digest it and I still can't say what is the most disappointing about it. I mean I really didn't like that they killed Carla Jean, there was no call for that. By that point in the movie we got it, he was crazy ... he'll kill anyone ... we get it. How did that further the movie ... at all?? I'm also dissappointed they punked Llewleyn like that. I mean that whole movie we watch him struggle and then they just cut to him on the ground like that??? He deserved better.

And I know the whole thing was supposed to about Tommy Lee Jones character, but all he did was mope around. I would have responded to it better if he was trying to keep up with the times and just couldn't keep up. Or if he was trying old school techniques and they weren't working, but that's not what happened either. He just sat around and told that deputy guy he was a moron. Lastly ... I didn't think Anton Chighur was all that. There I said it. Sure he was scary, but he was random. The whole move was was like watching that crazy video of those girls beating each other up ... except directed by the Cohen brothers.

I'm probably going to watch it again on the way home ... but I doubt my opinion will change.
