Domestic question
Does anyone reading this use a rice cooker?
I know this is random ... I was considering using ours tonight but wussed out yet again. Cora and I received one as a wedding present (Thank you to who ever bought it for us!), but I am pretty sure it's the only thing we received as a wedding present that we haven't used. So tonight I had time to experiment so I decided to break it out. I started reading the instructions and it said that it was supposed to take 55 minutes to cook brown rice ... I looked at the rice box and it said the microwave would take 7 ... so I put the rice cooker right back away.
So I'm wondering is the rice that much better? Does anyone know??

Mom used one growing up, but I think it was because she could have it cooking while doing other stuff? Now she uses instant or a microwave rice cooker.
