American Idol
I don't like the new way that they are doing the rounds this year. Granted I'm not an American Idol scholar by any means, it just feels like I am not getting attached to anyone. Like really, we've seen 24 people and outside of Anoop I wouldn't be excited to see anyone a second time. Plus now I feel resentment when someone (like Danny Golke") gets through when I think they shouldn't hence making it less likely to root for them going forward. And lastly I think it's super dumb to do it this way when you're going to let someone who isn't taking it seriously through. I mean that guy didn't even try to sing anything. I would have been ok if he just tried to sing a real song even if it was in character. But instead he sang that thing, badly, which is two minutes of my life that I will never get back.
I kind of liked last year better. I was already firmly on the Brooke White train by this time.

Oh, Brooke White. How I miss her. I agree with everything you said. Except (and don't hate me) I was thoroughly entertained by Norman Gentle. :)
Brooke was my favorite. She hooked me with Love is a battlefield. I hearted it.
I just wish Norman Gentle would have at least tried singing a funny song or something. A Wierd Al song or something? sigh.
