Somebody got a new lens

And that someone is either me or Cora. Well I guess it's both of ours, but really but that didn't seem like as cool of a title. How would that work grammatically? "Some people got a new lens"? ..... anyway.

So thanks to the wonders of National City points Cora and I have been able to do some guilt free investing in the camera. The first purchase to arrive is a Canon 50mm 1.8F lens. I read a lot of blogs and lists that referred to this as the best value of any of the canon lenses. I'm excited about it, it seems like there are a lot of things that you can do with it that you couldn't do with the stock lens. For instance, above is the second picture that I took with it. I've read about what the f-stop does for you, but being a former point and clicker I'm obviously not a master of it. This lens is going to allow me to experiment with that a lot.
