I might be a bad American

Did anyone know that Barack Obama is being sworn in as the President of the United States of America today????

Yeesh, it's been every where. I saw on one of the local stations today that their coverage started at 5 a.m. this morning and went till 5 p.m. tonight. What can they possibly be talking about for 12 hours?? The poor guy isn't even in office yet. I mean seriously. The part that makes me wonder about myself, is that I'm all about Obama. You can ask poor Cora, I voted for him, I took heat at work and campaigned for him ... her parents might have already disowned our unborn child because of my support for him in the form of a lawn sign. Well maybe not the kid, maybe they just renounced me.

Anyway, I'm going to watch the speech and stuff, but I'm much more anxious to see what he does over the next four years. I think today is exciting, and is a sign for how far we have come as a nation. But I also think that he hasn't done anything yet. Does that sound harsh? I hope not. All I am saying is that if I can list my house in the next year or two and not be worried about selling it, then I'm going to want to stand out side in 10 degree weather and listen to him talk. Until then I think I'm just going to keep on being cautiously optimistic.
